INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Davies Campbell de Lambert Pathology Online.

Davies Campbell de Lambert Online is an interactive web site which allows secure access to our laboratory information system.

Whether you are in your office or at home you will have complete access to your patients results.

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and allows you to :

• View patient results as they become available.
• Print results directly from our information system.
• Transfer results to patient records in practice management programs.

We have incorporated customised security measures to ensure the transfer of patient information is completely secure.

RESULTS ACCESS - How to gain access to results

1. You need to refer patients to Davies Campbell de Lambert Pathology to     open a doctor file in our laboratory information system.

2. Register as a user to obtain a Username and Password.

       To register phone 9736 2555 between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to        Friday and ask for the Help Desk or email us with your contact details.

3. Install customised software - Attachmate ViewPath.  

           This will allow direct access to our information system to view and print            patient results.  (We mail a CD to you once you have registered or you            can download it from this site, see below).

           This program is not required if you only want to download patient results            to your practice management program.

If you connect to the internet via a corporate or institutional (university/ hospital) network you may not be able to access results through ViewPath. This problem can be corrected by asking your network or system administrator to contact our Help Desk on 9736 2555.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - Minimum requirements

Due to our security requirements access to results is currently only avaliable to doctors using Internet Explorer ( v 4.01 and above with 128 bit encryption).

The latest version of Internet Explorer is available on the internet or the CD we send you. To download from the internet click on an icon below. This may take a few hours and we suggest you wait until you receive our CD.

INSTALL ViewPath

You must install the Attachmate ViewPath applet to access our laboratory information system and view results in your browser.

NOTE : If you only want access to download results to your practice program you do not need to download the applet.

The applet is available on the CD we mail you or you can download it from this site by clicking on the icon below. This will take approximately 10 minutes.

SECURITY

Davies Campbell de Lambert takes the confidentiality of medical information and any transfer of that information seriously.

Some specific techniques which we are using to maintain the highest level of security include:

• 128 bit encryption of all patient data transfered between our system and your computer.
• Username and Passwords are issued to all referring doctors accessing our system.
• A 10 minute time-out of sessions connected to our system to avoid anyone else accessing patient results through your computer.

To ensure your security we recommend you always run anti-virus software on your computer.

SUPPORT

Once you have successfully installed the software and restarted your computer simply open your browser, connect to our internet site at www.dcdel.com.au and access your patient results.
