For patient convenience, Davies Campbell de Lambert Pathology has strategically-placed accredited collection centres throughout Sydney.

Our centres provide a calm and reassuring environment so patients feel comfortable during specimen collection.

Our staff are highly trained in all collection techniques and you can feel confident your patients will receive the best care possible.

They can attend to a range of specialised investigations. These include;

• Cervical Pap Smears
• Glucose Tolerance Tests
• Urea Breath tests
• ECG's

We also provide test information sheets to help patients understand and prepare for many tests. These are available in a variety of languages for patients from a non English speaking background.

Many ill or infirm patients are unable to attend a collection centre. To cater for these patients, we supplement our collection centre service with an extensive fleet of mobile car collectors.

Our collectors can visit patients in nursing homes, private hospitals and in their own homes.

To ensure rapid delivery to our central laboratory for processing, we have an extensive courier network who can pick up specimens from;

• Doctors surgeries
• Collection centres
• Private hospitals
• Nursing homes

Our courier service is also supported by a taxi service, which places a priority on patient specimen pick ups.

Regular pick up times can also be arranged to suit your surgeries hours.

In case of emergency or urgent specimen pick up, contact our laboratory directly on 9736 2555 and ask to speak to our collection co-ordinators They will immediately assist you with your requirements.

We have a collector on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you need urgent specimens collected, simply call the central laboratory.

 

Our collection centres and mobile collectors are able to perform ECG tracings.

Unreported ECG's are delivered to the requesting medical practitioner as soon as possible. These are followed by tracings routinely reported by consultant physicians.

Our autologous blood collection service has been operational since 1994.

Patients can make an appointment to attend an authorised collection centre where they will be attended by specially trained collection staff.
