Billing Policy

We offer assignment of benefits (bulk billing) to Pensioners, Health care card holders and Senior card holders as well as people in need.

The treating doctor can also request that a patient be bulk billed by indicating on the pathology request form.

On our request forms there is a ‘Billing Instructions’ area for the clinician to indicate:

· Schedule fee

· Private (AMA rates)

· Medicare (Bulk billing)

· Veteran Affairs

· Other (Workers’ compensation, Pre employment medicals, Life insurance, overseas patients etc)

If the request form does not have:

· Bulk billing indicated, or

· Patient Medicare number, or

· Patient signature ,or

· Specifies another billing classification

Then Davies Campbell de Lambert will issue an account to the patient with the fee set at the AMA recommended rate.
